Provisions from the UWV

Do you need a provision to follow your course? Or does your employer need to acquire a resource or incur costs to modify your workplace? You may be able to apply to the UWV for compensation for aids or adaptations.

Tips:

• Apply first before you purchase the provisions yourself. This is because the UWV does not reimburse for everything, and purchases some aids themselves.
• The UWV works with fixed suppliers for the supply and reimbursement of facilities. You should therefore contact the UWV before purchasing provisions yourself. 
• It is important to contact the relevant agencies well in advance of beginning the internship or work to apply for facilities.

Allowance from the UWV

If you have a paid work placement, this may affect your Wajong allowance. If you claim Wajong allowance, report your income to the UWV.

Every year in September, the UWV pays the Contribution for Disabled Workers to people who are (partially) disabled. This amount is an annual reimbursement for the extra medical expenses you incur.
