What you can do yourself to find work

  • Inform your educational institution (tutors, coordinators, deans, support center staff) that you find it difficult to find work as a result of your request for support. They can advise you and point you to extra help such as available courses or useful organisations.
  • Take advantage of networking. For example, look at various social media channels that you can connect to.
  • Check out Realistenacademie 2.0 where you can receive training to increase your personal and professional skills. You can also register here as a buddy to help students with a support request. This is a nice addition to your resume.
  • Starting as a freelancer with an occupational disability. View the possible financial concessions (article Knab).
  • Create a resume for your job application? The cvster.nl can help you with that.
  • Did you graduate with a visual or hearing impairment? Then schedule an appointment with Sjoerd Oostra from the secondment agency Ctalents and discover your job opportunities!
